Single Name CDS reporting is live on OTCStreaming

Feb 25, 2022

OTCStreaming broadcasts since Friday 25th the single name credit default swaps mandatory reported under the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. While credit index swaps are reported since 2012, the single name reporting was long overdue. The raw data stream is available on DTCC since February 14th. Raw data are heterogenous and OTCStreaming is using its technology to map and enrich each reported trade on its standardized data framework. A few situations require market knowledge; the OTCStreaming team is doing its best effort to offer the most accurate analysis of each trade, but users’ participation is welcome to challenge online this analysis and suggest an alternative analysis to the moderator. OTCStreaming is ready to take care of any suggestions as quickly as possible to provide everyone with the cleanest dataset.

Over the last 2 weeks, 9,000 trades have been processed by OTCStreaming on more than 550 different entities. Around 50% of trades are on US corporates, 30% from European corporates, and 20% on sovereign entities.

Users get access to the data within their current preferred access point: API, Excel, or just on the website with all their usual analytics on this new dataset.

OTCStreaming will share in the next coming weeks its analysis of this dataset and how it is a good proxy of actual trading activity in the credit derivatives market.
